Text of a letter to George W. Gregg explaining the continued use of the term "colonization" given the changed conditions since the organization's founding; argues that funding Liberian development is a form of reparation for the debt incurred to Africa by the damages rendered by slavery, and should not be seen as a move to curtail the rights of freed slaves in the US by getting rid of them.
