Description:
various, various dates. Fifteen different paperback novels by Reynolds, the radical science fiction author who was for many years associated with the Socialist Labor Party and included many Marxist ideas in his fiction (Deathwish World, for example, features an IWW member as its hero). He is best known in popular culture for writing the first novel of any kind based on the Star Trek franchise. All are common paperback editions, generally good to very good, decent reading copies. Titles present are: Earth Unaware, The Cosmic Eye, The Towers of Utopia, The Lagrangists, After Utopia, Perchance to Dream, Space Visitor, Rolltown, Deathwish World (with Dean Ing), Sweet Dreams, Sweet Princes (with Michael Banks), The Best Ye Breed, Lagrange Five, Computer World, Brain World, The Rival Rigelians, and of course The Best of Mack Reynolds.

Description:
Ann Arbor: Edwin M. Aprill Jr. [and] National Newspaper Syndicate, Inc, 1971. Hardcover. Unpaginated, about 200p., two strips on a page reproduced original size in b&w (no colorizing except for dj), hardbound in 9x12 inch bright red buckram boards spine-titled in bronze ink, in dust jacket. The bronze has faded to illegibility and the dj is so edgeworn and chipped it is merely a remnant. Book itself is bright, entirely sound, clean and unmarked. The stories are layered with jokes: a female crewman looks like a flapper with spit-curls, and in the first adventure the crew goes to planet Eros which turns out to be a twenty-mile-long uh.. cigar.

Description:
Carmel CA: the school, 1965. Pamphlet. Unpaginated, mimeo'd rectos only, about 17p., an amateur job clumsily stapled (the following year, the '66, it gets professional); typos are let stand or overprinted, mimeo-ing is faintish, publication data conventions misapplied, the cover drawing is hard to make out. Item slightly edgeworn. A first attempt, with touches of promise: Carmel is, after all, a storehouse of talent, and the poems demonstrate genuine literacy. Note the "cover price" - not really a yearbook.
