Filled out with dues payment records for Jeremiah Healey of Richmond, CA, spanning 1926-1928.

Unpaginated, about 35p., coated paperstock with profuse fullpage color plates and minimal text, staplebound 8.5-inch-square color cardstock wraps. A very good copy. Britain meets the bay. McKeown owns the Belfast exhibitarium and frequently Sanfranciscordializes.

New York: The Franklin Press, 1912. Hardcover. 109p., lightly-worn likely first edition of the poet's first book in plain gray boards and paper spine and cover title labels. Third generation Irish American poet who never visited the Emerald Isle. He was active in the Irish independence movement and a communist who supported the Soviet Union yet disagreed with its foreign policies, leading his work being banned from The New Masses and other Communist publications. There is a slight discrepancy in the publication dates.

San Francisco: Zeitgeist Press, 1996. 18p., 5.5x8.25 inches, personal inscription signed by the poet on inside front cover dated Feb. 1996, illustrations, very good chapook in stapled pictorial wraps. Poetry chapbook by the San Francisco offspring of a Mexican mother and Irish father.

New York: Irish Workers Club, 1935. Handbill. 8.5x11 inch handbill, evenly toned, otherwise very good. Year penned in lower right corner. "Father Coughlin promises everything to the workers if they will only follow him, just as Tammany has done so long. We remember what Roosevelt was to do for the forgotten man, what Mussolini, Hitler and O'Duffy, the blue shirt leader in Ireland, were to do for the forgotten men. In Italy and Germany the trade unions and workers' organizations were smashed and the active members were jailed or executed. In Ireland, the workers and farmers defeated the fascist menace for the time being, but the present Free State government as well as the past Cosgrave and Cragiavon government are jailing workers for striking and looking for their rights as forgotten men." The Irish Workers Club was affiliated with the Communist Party USA.

New York: Home for Irish Immigrant Girls, 1909. Cards. Four-panel card with poem inside, issued in the name of Rev. M.J. Henry, director of the Home, for Christmas 1909 and New Year 1910. Exterior surfaces mildly foxed and rubbed. "Where e'er there throbs an Irish heart, it fondly beats to-day / For friends in that far distant land, so many miles away..." The Mission offered temporary accommodation, employment referrals, and other support for women just arriving from Ireland.

San Francisco: The Hindustan Gadar Party, 1919. Pamphlet. [8p.] staplebound pamphlet, 8.5x11 inches, horizontal fold crease with some toning. Discusses atrocities committed by the British authorities in India and their role in fomenting the desire for independence. Includes statements of thanks to Ireland's Prime Minister and to local labor unions for their support in fighting the deportation of Indian independence activists from the US. Ed Gammons was an Irish immigrant activist, an anarchist affiliated with the IWW, who worked to foster Irish-Indian anti-imperialist solidarity.

San Francisco: The Forum, 1981. 4 panel program, 4.5x6.25 inches on stiff cream stock with photo of Coogan on front panel, the dinner menu, times, dates and places, very good condition. Coogan was the editor of the Irish Press in Dublin who also wrote a book on the IRA.

Early chapbook by the Oregon-based poet who identifies as Irish American.

San Francisco: Self-published, 1923. Paperback. 71p., 4.75x7 inches, cover lightly edgeworn, pages toned, somewhat fragile. Mason was a San Francisco English-born American music critic and mayoral candidate for the Union Labor Party. He was active with the newspaper labor union. This is his report of a visit to Ireland in the 1920s.
