Description:
Cambridge, MA: Dunster House, 1961. Pamphlet. Program for the Harvard student production, in the form of a six-panel brochure. Cover art derived from Picasso's Guernica. Includes ads for various businesses around the Harvard campus. Very good condition with minor toning. Laid in is a mimeographed note, partly toned, stating "Camus' play, already famous and highly esteemed abroad, was presented for the first time in New York last year. The carefully prepared Broadway production, rich in its Roman pageantry, was a critical and financial failure. The purpose of the present modest production is to offer the play once again to audiences here in Cambridge in a somewhat different fashion: on an open stage, in modern dress, with the focus of attention upon the figure of Caligula himself.

Description:
North Easton, MA: the author, 1901. Letter. Single sheet of stationery, 8.5x11 inches, faint creases from having been folded. The letter begins with an apology for mislaying the precise amount of money Ames owed to Baker, an instructor of Latin at Harvard, for some recent translation work. "The translations were perfectly satisfactory to me and I wish to thank you for the trouble you were willing to take in my behalf. I suppose the authors whose work I sent to you, wrote a very peculiar kind of Latin, and this fact must have been very evident to you. Yours sincerely, Oakes Ames." At the time of this letter Ames was the Assistant Director of Harvard's Botanic Garden.

White, one of the editors, stating his objection to the piece), an article asserting that libertarian idealism requires support for Tibet, a piece stating that conservatives don't necessarily oppose labor unions, etc. Most authors are identified only by initials, but a piece on the New Germany is by Bruce Hopper (JFK's thesis advisor).
