Description:
Detroit: Herman and Ben Marks, Manufacturing Furriers, 1926. Pamphlet. 32p., every page features b&w exhibit photography (commonly displaying four coats modeled full-length on young women), reproduced and captioned on glazed alkaline paperstock. Softbound, a decorated pamphlet in 10x9 inch stapled wraps. Intact, but very handled, with extensive crimping to all leaves; we see no tears or marked-up areas, and no out-and-out grime. Staples very slightly touched with rust. A good (good-only) copy. Laid in is an order blank on toned letterhead. FYI, the very first leaf is to be memorized by, then discarded (per dotted cut-line) by, the retailer; it reveals a wholesale-cost secret of which customers should remain ignorant ("Read, Remember - and Cut This Page Out").

Description:
Detroit: Workers Council for Social Justice, Incorporated; printed by Dearborn Daily Herald, 1937. Broadside. 12x18 inch broadside, folded into quarters, paper toned, short split at the center of the horizontal fold. "Coughlin" has been penciled in upper left corner. Promotion of a newly established Coughlinite union more favorable to Detroit's auto makers than the UAW. "It is evident that here in Michigan there is dire need for a labor union based upon Christian principles of social justice. It is evident that capital cannot do without labor, nor can labor do without capital. It is likewise, evident that nothing can be done for economic peace by arraying class against class. Therefore, there is demanded this new labor union in which the rights, duties and responsibilities of capital and the rights, duties and responsibilities of labor are mutually recognized.".

Description:
Detroit: no publisher credit, n.d., late nineteen-teens. Paperback. Lackadaisical boosterism for what the smidgen of text promotes as "the most attractive city on this continent," where "ennui is an unknown word". Small (5x7 inch) oblong pamphlet in tan wraps printed brown, featuring sixeen leaves of glazed alkaline stock bearing fuzzy urban photos in orange panelling. The pix are so poorly reproduced one is surprised that some responsible person didn't call a stop-press, try again. Leaves are in good shape with marginal crimping, cover has a bad corner-crease and edgewear. Take it away! Dated from autos shown, co-habiting with a few horse-drawn wagons.
