Cover shows photos of burning barricades and student hurling something at riot cops in Berkeley; the banner headline proclaims "LIBERATED!". Inside: accounts of the rally "expressing solidarity with French students and workers" which soon escalated, with police assistance, into full-blown street fighting for a week. Centerspread is a medley of photos of demonstrators, policy with bullhorns and tear gas, barricades, and students next to piles of rocks. Also in issue: reports on Hare Krishna's Ratha Yatra Festival, the Shiva Fellowship's fifth marijuana pray-in, Stew Albert on Jerry Rubin's drug bust hearing in NYC, and transcript of Huey Newton's message to the solidarity rally.
