Issues present are Vol. 10 No. 2, Vol. 11 No. 1, Vol. 12 Nos. 1 and 2, Vol. 13 Nos. 1 and 2, Vol. 14 Nos. 1 and 2, and Vol. 15 Nos. 1/2 (double issue), also numbered as whole numbers 26, 27, and 30-36. Various pagination, stapled wraps, Nos. 26 and 27 are 7.5x10.5 inches, all other issues are 8.25x11 inches, some light handling wear, most issues with rubberstamp of the Eastbay Liberation Information Center on front wraps, No. 26 with volume and issue number penned on front wrap, else generally very good condition.

New York: Committee to Save Ahmed Evans, 1970. Handbill. 8.5x11 inch handbill, very good. Undated, but the receipt date of January 1970 has been penned on the blank verso. The issuing Committee appears to have consisted of sympathetic students at Alternate University in NYC. Ahmed Evans was a Black nationalist who operated the Afro Culture Shop and Bookstore in Cleveland and was a member of the Black Nationalists of New Libya. He fought with police, who had been surveilling his home, in a standoff that became known as the Glenville Shootout. Seven people died in the gun battle, which was followed by days of unrest in Cleveland, put down eventually by the National Guard. Evans was convicted of four of the deaths, and sentenced to the electric chair. This flyer states that "Ahmed Evans is a scapegoat! New York: Farrar Straus Grioux, 1990. Hardcover. 244p., first edition, signed by the author on the title page. Very good in bit soiled dj. First novel by the Lima Ohio-born African American writer. Initials stamped to top right corner of front free endpaper.

Kent, OH: Kent State University, 1956. Hardcover. 60p., foreword, device on title page, personal inscription signed by the author of front free endpaper, very good first edition limited to 1000 copies in decorative boards and unclipped dj. The first piece is a reworking of Price's mother's stories about Kent, Ohio in the nineteenth century. The second is an address given to faculty and students at Kent State in 1955. Lucien Price aka Seymour Deming was a Kent, Ohio writer who graduated with honors from Harvard University in 1907. While there he lived an undisguised if not out gay life and several of his early books relate the love affair he had there with a fellow Harvard student. Several chapters of Douglass Shand-Tucci's book "The Crimson Letter: Harvard, Homosexuality, and the Shaping of American Culture" are devoted to Price. He was also a socialist, inspired by the Lawrence textile strike of 1912 which he wrote an editorial in support of.

Taft-Hartley case, Fred & Marie Haug accused of being members of the CPUSA. Fred was a leader of Local 715 of the Mine, Mill and Smelter Workers, Marie of Local 735 of the United Electrical Workers.

Hardcover. vi, 90p., cloth-covered boards, 6x9 inches, frontis. portrait of Caulkins, diagrams, boards edgeworn and frayed at corners, endpapers and fore-edge lightly foxed, pencil scribble on front pastedown endpaper, else very good condition with author's rubberstamp on front pastedown endpaper. Caulkins, who identifies himself on the title page as "discoverer of the circulation of the nerves and inventor of the electro-magnetic circular power," was an Ohio physician. He writes in the preface that this work is "a concise description of a new air-ship which the author believes will be the finally accepted plan of successful aërial navigation.
