The overlapping or yapp edges of this softbound are rather worn, an else good copy with a blank bid-sheet laid in. Find plenty of trout, and in the Americana section at least one whaling item, a slavery broadside, seven JFK items.

Washington, D. C.: GPO, 1964. 1,300 [Part I] plus variously paginated supplements bound together [Part II] much lengthier; about 3,000p together. Kennedy-era appropriations. Complete text, fine copies, being Representative George P. Miller's set specially bound with his name on the cover, red leather labels gilt, nifty printed tabs, expertly-applied multicolored marbling of textblock edges. Miller was one of two Californians on the select committee, along with Patrick Minor Martin. Chair was Carl Elliott of Alabama. House of Representatrives 88th congress first session. P.515, volume one, 22 November 1963, Wernher von Braun opens the session reading a long prepared speech. P.603, news of the shooting, adjournment. These fundings were, many of them, earmarked for the space race.

Peking: Foreign Languages Press, 1962. 75p., slender paperback, 5x7 inches. Some sun-fading along the spine, otherwise very good. Two-tone cover decoration shows stylized bomb labeled "U S" with an olive branch profiled across. Seven articles, some reprinted from the Renmin Ribao newspaper, including "The Kennedy administration's true face," Kennedy's wishful thinking," Kennedy's insolent challenge," and "'Peace Corps' --a new tool of U.S. colonialism.

New York: Random House, 1976. Hardcover. 66p., very good first edition in quarter-cloth boards and unclipped dust jacket that is slightly mis-folded with short closed tears.

n.p., 1962. [24p.], staplebound pamphlet. The cover bears a portrait of Kennedy morphing into Mad Magazine's Alfred E. Newman. Several pages of text have a blue pen X across them, as if to express opposition to their content. Seven pages of original but anonymous text, written in the context of the showdown over Soviet missiles in Cuba - between which is sandwiched a copy of Castro's famous speech. Much of the original text taunts the reader as a brainwashed oaf for believing Washington's positions.
