About This Item

Rome: ex typographia Guillelmi Facciotti, 1602. Hardcover. Good+. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. See photos for condition details. Hardcover, thin vellum covered boards with handwritten title on spine. Exterior spotted and darkened along with edge and corner wear. The front and rear boards each have two pinholes, each measuring about 2.25 inches from the outside corners. The internal binding is acceptable though there is some pulling in spots. The binding is still quite secure though and pages are tight. The front pastedown has some notes in pencil and an early bookplate from the English cleric and writer Reverend Frederic William MacDonald. Going through the pages of the book we found a few pages with some light pencil notes and/or initials. These are minor and may be erased if desired but we consider them part of the book's history. Paper is toned due to age and there is some minor foxing presents with the heaviest being the title page and end pages. Both the title page and preceding blank page both contain signatures and info. It is rare to find a copy of this publication without library or seminary markings. There were two pages found with corner issues: page 457 and the first blank rear and page both have small chips missing out of the lower outside corner. Remaining pages are in very good condition. Volume contains 526 pages, not including the rear index pages. This book may be inspected by appointment only, please allow three business days for us to retrieve the volume from the deposit box.

Terms of Sale

Yesterday's Book Shop (Member IOBA)

Purchases will ship by US Media Mail or Priority Mail (if buyer selects) and higher priced items may have insured placed on the order and will typically ship within one business day. Additional postage may be required for multiple volume books or books weighing over 5 lbs., but only in unusual cases. Insurance is available upon request though we normally place insurance on any item of $75 or higher at no additional cost to the buyer. Non-US sales will ship by First Class International or Global Priority. Additional postage may be required for multiple volume books or books weighing over 4 lbs.

We always take extra care in packaging and shipping. Books are typically wrapped in packing paper or bubblewrap before packaged in a sturdt shipping box. All orders, even those shipped by US Media Mail, will be given a USPS tracking number which will be sent to the buyer so they will know when to expect arrival. Please let us know if there is a book with incorrect or missing photos. We recently moved the inventory to Biblio and a title or two may have had issues with the photos being transferred over.

Yesterday's Book shop is owned and operated by a disabled veteran. Due to my limitations, I often have to rely on speech-to-text software to list the books. If the description has typos ("and pages" instead of "end pages", pace downs instead of pastedowns, guilt instead of gilt, etc,) PLEASE let me know so I can correct the listing. The software spells words by phonetics and can make errors that I may not catch.

There is a 30 day money back guarantee if the book arrives damaged or is not as described. Please contact us prior if you have any issues with your purchases and we will make sure you are taken care of.

About Yesterday's Book Shop (Member IOBA)

Yesterday's Book Shop is an independent, family-owned establishment. The store first opened in 1966 under the name Collector's Corner and was located in Western Maryland. The Collector's Corner dealt mainly in books but also sold stamps and assorted ephemera. In 1975 the name was changed to Yesterday's Book Shop when the store only offered books and printed matter. In the early 2000s the brick and mortar store was closed and now we only sell online.

All of the book pictures were taken at the time the book was listed and we never use generic or stock photos in any listing. If you would like additional photos or information on any listing please let us know and we will be more than happy to comply.
