Volume I - From the Creation to the Patriarchs: xiv, 511 pp. Volume II - From Moses to the Judges: [8], 520 pp. Volume III - From Samson to Solomon: xix, 493 pp. Volume IV - From Rehoboam to Hezekiah: xvi, 492 pp. Volume V - From Manasseh to Zedekiah, With the Contemporary Prophets: vii, 496 pp. Volume VI - From the Exile to Malachi, Completing the Old Testament: viii, 544 pp., [2 pp. ads]. All volumes have engraved illustrations, head- and tail-pieces in text. Some light rubbing to edges, a few scuffs to leather, light cracking to spines, but overall a fine set. Bookplate of Charles Cobb Walker to front pastedown. Embossed ex libris stamp of the New England Conservatory of Music to title. Volume VI reads "James Potts & Co." to title instead of just James Potts, Publisher.
