Pages are clean and unmarked aside from author's inscription on title page. Boards are firm and even, with very little shelf wear. Gilt lettering on cover and spine is clear and unfaded. Binding is starting to separate throughout, but otherwise secure.

Pages are lightly tanned and unmarked, aside from browned tape affixed to back flyleaf and seam between front pastedown and endpaper. Back endpaper has tape residue. Title page is torn, with a large chip missing that obscures some text. Boards are lightly soiled, with bumped corners. Spine is sunned. Spine head is torn along gutters, leaving a flap that exposes material and glue beneath. Spine tail is softened. Binding is loose and separating throughout.

Full leatherbound boards with gold gilt accents, raised bands on spine, all edges gilt, silk endpapers & reading ribbon. Bright, unmarked pages and a square binding. Appears unread and has no signs of shelf wear.

Printed white wraps with green ink in green card slipcase with white lettering. A bright, clean copy with author's signature on first free paper. Binding is firm, some slight wrinkling to spine ends. Slipcase has wear and chipping to corners and edges.

Frederick Fell, 1950. Hardcover. Very good/Very good. Second printing of this Fell's Science Fiction Library edition. With introduction by Fletcher Pratt & Lee De Forest. Jacket is protected in mylar sleeve but with some slight rubbing to covers and shelf wear around the edges, including chipping and small tears in places - mostly limited to spine ends. Boards are straight and clean with corners and spine ends faintly bumped. Split binding at title page, though all pages remain attached. Spine is straight and all pages are clean and unmarked though faintly tanned.

Includes All pages are bright, clean and unmarked. Some faint soiling to page edges. Binding and hinges remain secure. Jacket shows some chips and tears along the edges, especially at spine head and top edge of back jacket with a long tear and fold. Else a nice copy.

Previous owner's name written and two bookstore stamps on inside of front cover. Interior pages are clean and unmarked. Binding is solid, though there are a few places early in the book where binding is visible in gutter. Slight spine lean with mild wear at the top and base. Very rare edition.

Boards are clean with very mild bowing away from text block near fore edge. Previous owner's name stamped on front endpaper, otherwise all pages are clean and unmarked, though tanned.

Sticker on back cover of S is for Space and on front cover of Golden Apples of the Sun. Split binding with page 125/126 loose but included in Golden Apples of the Sun.

Bound in full brown leather with art deco gilt accents on boards and spine, all page edges gilt, dentelles and crown motif endpapers. Frontispiece and illustrations throughout, red frieze framing the text. Binding secure, although both hinges starting. A charming little book, about 4.5 x 3 inches in size.
