A copy in the University of Virginia's renowned McGehee Lindemann Miniature Book Collection is dated by the curator at 1876, and while Hurst and Co. was founded in 1871, this miniature children's series is more likely circa turn-of-the-century. Contains brief quotes from Scripture for every day of the year. In the United States, a miniature book is usually considered to be one which is no more than three inches in height, width, or thickness. ~SSS~

Sokolova trained at the Stedman Ballet Academy and learned from accomplished dancers including Anna Pavlova and Enrico Cecchetti, and was a prominent member of Sergei Diaghilev's Ballets Russes from 1913 to 1929. After the disbandment of that company, she taught, choreographed and occasionally danced. Her last stage performances were in 1962 at the Royal Opera House, London.
