Undated but the set was issued in 1888, it is unclear if this was issued separately shortly before then. Apparently very scarce.

Inoffensive 1925-dated sig. top series list, shallow vertical crease to front cover, gutter opening between pp.16/17 but quite secure, slight crease top outer corner back cover, 1 mm.chip top spine exposing gatherings and front joint paper split(now sealed with transparent tear repair tape, but this slightly visible), covers clean with slight darkening to spine, and not further worn. Despite faults and above average copy for a work of this age and semi-ephemeral nature. Good-Very Good/No Jacket. 12.5 Cm x 19 .5 Cm. xi+342; gutter opening before t.p. has been sealed with tear-repair tissue which will at least prevent further deterioration, otherwise internally clean, tight & unmarked, cover clean and minimally worn - slight spine end rubbing and corner bumping only. Clearly a popular work during the 1880s, full of sound advice on overdrafts, securities, bank charges, credit, debt and bankruptcy. Fine/Good-VG. 14.5 Cm x 22 Cm. f/piece+xi+218, 3 text figs (one a map); virtually pristine inside and out; unclipped jacket, in wraparound lamination as acquited, would be fine but for small label removal ghost with sellotape across centre spine with spot of lamination damage (this was a small rectangular blue marker of some sort of no apparent significance, thought it was above lamination at first, hence damage), also some slight ribbing to spine, apparently very scarce. Raglan's thesis is that houses originated as places of worship rather than occupation, an odd argument but he had been President of the Royal Anthropological Institute so could presumably get away with saying what he liked.
