Tiny bit of glue remains along inside top edges. Inside pages are clean, bright and unmarked. Dustjacket has darkened on the spine, edges and folds, but has only light edge wear. Not price clipped. A collection of 49 stories and poems for children, by a wide variety of international and Canadian writers. Although it is numbered Book 6 on the title page, the jacket notes three books in the series called "Big Books for Young Canadians" of which this is book three. Possibly the book was issued originally as a school text, then again aimed at the general public. May require extra postage due to weight of book. .

London: Thomas Nelson and Sons. Very Good-. [1920]. Hardcover. 159 p. 26 cm. Sound and square with cloth backed spine. Coloured pastedown illustration on upper board. Corners rounded and worn through. Edges worn. Bottom of spine is slightly frayed. Upper board has a couple of small pull marks and stains. Lower board has darkened has has a stain along the bottom front corner. Inside, the endpapers are discoloured, the front free heavily so. The pages have occasional soiling, mostly in the margins, and are slightly age toned. One plate has a closed tear that extends 1" into the illustration and which has been repaired with acid free PVA. Still quite attractive, overall. A collection of stories and poems by such authors as Ethel Talbot and Angela Brazil, with six full colour plates by Scottish illustrator Anne Anderson, and pen and ink illustrations by her and her husband Allan Wright. .
