Science Fiction Book Club, 1957. First THUS. Hardcover. Very Good/Acceptable. First British book club edition in scarce dust jacket, originally published in America as Solar Lottery (PKD's first published work) in 1955. Tight binding with minor wear to edges and spine ends. Dust soiling to top edge of text block. The text is unmarked. Endpapers on either side show faint vertical strips of off-white discoloration (approx. half inch wide). The dust jacket is edge worn and lightly soiled with small chips, tears, and darkening to spine, in a mylar cover. One small, open tear along top edge of front fold. 8vo. 160pp.

Author's First Book, previously published in 1956 by Rich & Cowan Limited, this edition published only for club members, originally published as a paperback original in the USA as Solar Lottery by Ace Books, the text of both this and the Rich & Cowan edition differs from the Ace edition, a science fiction classic by a master, this is Nit's copy. Near fine.

A couple of tape residue marks to the front and back boards and both sets of end-papers sympathetically and professionally replaced with matching paper stock. i suspect that, at some stage in its life, this may have been an ex-library copy but there are no library markings inside the book which is otherwise in VG condition although several pages are dog-eared. No D/W.
