Vol. 2 only, quarto, 11.5 x 9.25 inches, bound in early green cloth, good, does not have title page, begins on p. 8 but does have its frontispiece, and we count at least 46 colored plates (a complete set would have 106 plates total). Moderate wear to spine and joints, contents good to very good.

London: Printed at the Caxton Press, by Henry Fisher, 1832. 2 vols., 4to, pp. [iv], 790; 885, [1], 56 + frontispiece in each vol., extra engraved title-page in vol. 1, and 104 engraved plates (of a maximum of 106), one of them hand-coloured. Contemporary half calf, marbled boards, spines divided by gilt rolls, other compartments decorated with central floral tools in gilt, edges sprinkled red. Some foxing and spotting, vol. 1 dampmarked at foot towards rear. Bindings slightly worn and marked, vol. 1 rear joint just cracking at foot (this sometime tidily filled with glue). Foxing to title pages, some foxing throughout, overall clean, most plates are clean and vibrant. Minor shelf wear to boards. Bindings sturdy.

Liverpool: Henry Fisher , 1820 A very good 2 volume set of the 1st edition, newly rebound in half calf with marbled boards. With 2 decorative frontispieces, 1 decorative title, and 106 hand coloured plates. The title pages are undated but Vol I has a preface dated 1820 and the 1st edition was produced between 1816 and 1820. This copy is in new half calf with gilt lines title labels and volume numbers to spines. The marbled paper matches the marbling on the page edges. New endpapers. All the plates are in very good clean condition and are well coloured. The paper quality varies with the paper in the first half of Vol II being noticeably toned and prone to light spotting. Two volumes, quarto (269 x 211 mm). Contemporary half russia, rebacked with the original spines laid down, spines lettered in gilt, marbled sides. Housed in custom brown cloth slipcase. With 2 stipple-engraved hand-coloured frontispieces and extra engraved title by R. Hicks after miniaturist William Marshall Craig, 106 hand-coloured engraved plates; modern loosely inserted tissue guards. Frontispiece to vol. II bound in I and vice versa.
