Chicago: Rand, McNally & Co, 1893. First Edition. Small Octavo. 325pp., (3)pp. ads. with a preface by Buffalo Bill (General W.F. Cody), Missour in its wild and uncultivated state, the mormons, Doniphan's expedition, trapping, Kit Carson, Denver of early days, Kansas City before the war, silver mining and of course, the Pony Express which was founded by Mr. Majors. A very handsome copy bound in dark blue pictorial gilt cloth over beveled boards, spine and top edge gilt, dark brown coated endpapers. Internally fresh.
