About This Item

Foss's excellent study debunks the popular myths of Cleopatra as a frivolous temptress who ruled without restraint. His in depth research finds the opposite: she was a shrewd and ambitious politician who governed with daring and skill. She emerges as one of the great leaders of the ancient world.

The book is in excellent condition. Pages are intact, unmarked and uncreased, clean and bright. Faintest of yellowing at edges and one or two spots on the top edge. Cloth covers are clean and tight. The dust jacket is excellent, clean and bright and unclipped. Official Errata note is pasted on the FEP (summarising apparent issues with the book's tie-in with the BBC TimeWatch series). A first rate copy. All now protected in professional clear book wrapper. 192pp with many colour and B&W photos
