Publisher's original turquoise-blue cloth, lettered in gilt on the spine, sm 4to. This is volume 2 of a 3 volume set that presents the Scientific Results of the Japan Expeditions to Nepal Himalaya in 1952-1953. Each volume was on a different subject. In 1951 Nepal opened its borders to scientific exploration. This Japanese expedition was one of several expeditions to explore Nepal in the early 1950s. Signature of E. W. Bellis on the front endpaper.
