About This Item
What does the Bible tell us about our FUTURE? In clear language, Gaebelein explains God's plan for believers from a biblical perspective as written in the Book of Revelation. You won't find a better, brand new, 1st EDITION volume anywhere!
The inside of the dust jacket reads: "The Revelation is a Book of prophecy, Dr. Gaebelein's Introduction points out, the "capstone of the entire revelation of God, without which the Bible would be an unfinished book... We find in its pages the consummation of the great prophecies which were given by the Prophets of God in Old Testament times." There is a 15-page Introduction, then an analysis of the Revelation in outline form, followed by the exegetical annotation. Included in appendices are The Seventy-Week Prophecy - so important to the study of Revelation that it is quoted here from Dr. Gaebelein's book on Daniel - and Prominent Names and Their Symbolical Meaning in Revelation."
Arno Clemens Gaebelein (August 27, 1861 – December 1945) was a Methodist minister in the United States, a prominent Bible teacher, conference speaker, and the father of educator and philosopher of Christian education Frank E. Gaebelein.
Being a dispensationalist, he was a developer of the movement in its early days. The Revelation-An Exposition is one of his classic works where he explains the dispensationalist view of eschatology. He also was the editor of Our Hope, a Christian periodical, for a number of years, and was a close assistant to Dr. C. I. Scofield on his monumental work, The Scofield Reference Bible.
