New York: Alfred A. Knopf, 1942. First Edition. Hardcover. Good. Octavo. [5], 296 pages, [3]. Peach colored decorated cloth hardcover with title on the spine. No dust jacket. The inner front flap of the original dust jacket is trimmed and paste down inside the front cover. A color illustrated armorial seal of "Henry Bacon McKoy, Greenville, S. C." pasted down on the right front flyleaf. McKoy was a local writer and historian in the Greenville area. The previous owner has written notes on the right front flyleaf and the rear paste down regarding this book. The portrait of the author on the original dust jacket has been trimmed and pasted down on the rear flyleaf. Interior contents of the book are clean. Stated first edition.
