Pages and edges are clean and bright. Clean red endpapers, with small previous owner label (return address label) on front free endpaper. No other marks. 237 pgs. Unfaded dustjacket is not price clipped, a few short closed edge tears, very small spot of browning from sticker (carefully removed) at lower corner of front panel. Enclosed in new archival quality mylar cover. True crime story of the handsome George Manolesco, son of an impoverished ex-army officer who fled his native Rumania in the 1880's. Duringthe twenty years of his heyday he stole nearly ten million dollars (most of it in jewels), lived in outrageous luxury in the world's watering places, consorted with royalty and masqueraded for years as a prince, was the lover of scores of wealthy and highborn women (and husband to to two of them)..
