Frontispiece is a b&w photograph of the church building. Local advertisements throughout. Not found in "Culinary America. Uncommon. Very Good with general tone and surface soil; some smudges and spotting. No date, estimate 1940 or earlier. Some recipes are in paragraph form. Recipes credited to donors. There are 8 pages of hand written recipes and dated from 1945-1949, including one for fried pie dough, (a glorious childhood memory of this bookseller.) Although this wonderful collection of local recipes is quite heavy with sweets and deserts there are some more substantial entries such as: Pork Cake; Pot Roast; Egg Plant Fritters; Bread and Butter Pickles; Sweet Milk Biscuit and Parker Rolls (the 3 hour method). ; 8vo .
