London: Chapman and Hall, 1882. First printing. Volumes 1 and 2 only of the three-volume set. Tan cloth with brown floral decoration and gilt spine lettering. Moderate shelfwear with frayed spine ends. The spines are a bit darkened. Previous owner's name, dated 1882, is written on both front free endpapers, along with that of a later owner. Vol 1 has a gutter crack at pg. 273. Both volumes have short tears in the cloth at the rear joints.. First Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good/No Jacket. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.
