An unattributed account of the spiritual life of John Blackader interwoven with extracts from his diaries and letters in which he speaks of "Providence" and prayer. 16mo quarter leather; pebble-cloth boards with gilt stamped "Life of Col. Blackader" and "26" just barely visible on spine; 118 pp. plus 6 pp.of publisher's ads (listing previous 25 tracts). Binding somewhat rubbed, particularly at the spine ends and corners, previous owners' names, etc., foxed throughout, altogether good or perhaps better. Scarce.
