About This Item

Princeton / London / Oxford: Princeton University Press / Humphrey Milford / OUP, 1916. Hardcover. A couple of unpaginated leaves, then the facsimile 1-32p., several woodcut illustrations per original, solid print-blocks without paragraphing, appears to us a medieval Italian excursus in blackletter. Nice small hardbound in grey cloth boards gilt (8.5x5.5 inches) and enclosed in the dust jacket. Slim production that remains bright, tight and square, while the plain printed dj is intact but edgeworn. Book itself is sound (pace a tiny marginal tear to first blank), clean and unmarked. Vespucci reprints, texts and studies II. The Soderini Letter 1504. The woodcuts are charming, most especially the one used as frontispiece.
