U.S.A.: Harper & Brothers, 1934. First American Edition 1st Printing. Cloth. Near Fine/Very Good. J. J. Lankes. First Printing 1934--although previously first published in Scribner's Magazine in 1931. A near-fine copy in a very good unclipped dustjacket. From the recently auctioned collection of M.B. Goldstone--bibliographer to Steinbeck. This copy has Burnett's signature to the front endpaper--without any further inscription. A clean and tight copy with some slight edgewear to a couple tips. Beautiful wood cut illustrations by J. J. Lankes--similar to the same as found on Robert Frost "Steeplebush". The dustjacket is lightly chipped at the heel of the spine and a little rubbed on the back cover--but otherwise just mildly soiled. A moderate change for Burnett and his heavily crime laden novels and screenplays. A scarce title to find in collectible condition let alone signed. Burnett was a prolific author and then later a prolific screenwriter in Hollywood. Free shipping within the USA.

42 pp. 26,5x19 cm. Gravures de Dim. Galanis. Editions d'Art de Cusenier, Paris, 1925. Édition numérotée, No. 3058 (tirage inconnu).

Description:
In Lettin It All Hang Out, part autobiography, part how-to manual, superstar RuPaul comes out and comes clean with the full story of his remarkable rise and rise. Born to a mother who was a "hot firecracker of a woman," RuPaul Andre Charles talks about her powerful influence and of his life growing up in a house full of women. He tells the story of his difficult but loving childhood, his early awareness of "being different," and takes us on a wild ride highlighting his various drag personae over the years in Atlanta, New York City, and eventually all over the world.RuPaul also reveals his secrets as the apotheosis of the nineties' glamour girl: how to work a wig, how to get sparkling white teeth, how to work the camera and how to get the camera to work for you, the essential items every drag queen must have in her purse, and how to achieve the fiercest tuck this side of the Mason-Dixon line. RuPaul also lets us behind his persona to show his fans that there is more to him than the paint and the…
