Philadelphia: B. Franklin and D. Hall, 1760. First American Edition. Wraps. Philadelphia Pemberton" in old ink at the top and a faint red library stamp at the bottom of the title page which is detached and lightly frayed at the fore-edge; small blue ink number stamp at bottom margin of the first page of text; general toning to the paper. Overall Very Good. Octavo (4-3/4" x 8"), printed wraps apparently removed from another volume; [1-2], 3-47, [1] pages. Campbell 648; Evans 8633; Hildeburn 1681; Miller 731: "The inclusion of this piece in a 'Collection of Devotional Tracts' (1760) along with the treatises of William Dell and John Rutty suggests that its printing was commissioned by the Society of Friends in Philadelphia. The work was first published in London, 1750."
