London: The Travel Book Club, 1971. Travel Book Club edition. Some creasing to edges of price-clipped dustwrapper, some bumping to spine ends and corners of blue boards, also some shelf-wear to bottom edge of same, some yellowing to the pages, but otherwise a not too bad, tight copy of this hard-cover book. Originally published in 1970, the author's account of her (unsuccessful) attempt, with her husband and another man, to walk to the North Pole from Canada. Their four children accompanied them as far as the small settlement of Resolute. Signed by the author on f/ep. 191pp, 27 b&w illustrations.. Signed by Author. Book Club (BCE/BOMC). Hard Cover. Good/Good. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
