London: Reeve and Benham, 1851. Wraps. Very good condition. Complete single issue illustrated with 6 hand colored engraved plates, with 2 pages of descriptive text.

Two noteworthy color plates are: Dr. Hooker's Chrysobactron, "detected on Lord Auckland's Islands", and recorded in 'Flora Antarctica' (Tab. 4602); and The Elegant Water Lily, discovered in New Mexico by Dr. Wright, which provided the seeds for the water lily at Kew Gardens (Tab. 4604).

8vo, not paginated. Blue printed paper wrappers, long split at spine, loose, plates very bright and clean.
