New York, New York, USA: Alfred A. Knopf, 1966. BX5 - A hard cover first edition withdrawn ex-library book in good+ condition with a dust jacket in good condition. Stated first edition with no additional printings indicated on the copyright page. A tight, clean, sound copy in brown cloth covered boards silver lettering and graphics on the spine and blind stamped graphics on the front and tinting of the top ouitside paper edges with minor overall shelf wear with tape staining on the front and back boards and fixed and free endpapers from where the dust jacket endflaps were taped to the boards plus there is heavy fading of the tinting on the top outside paper edges plus there is the usual library pocket and stamp on the front free endpaper and copyright page plus there is some very, very light soiling and scattered staining on the outside paper edges plus there is some light fading of cloth on the bottom board edges. The dust jacket shows minor overall shelf wear with some trimming of the blank inside edges of the front and back endflaps plus there is some fading on the spine plus there is some light rubbing and surface chipping on the spine from a library label plus there is tape staining on the front and back endflaps from where they were taped to the boards plus it is still in the original library mylar sleeve. A comprehensive historical study of the American town. Bibliography, indexed, 350p.. First Edition. Hard Cover. Good/Good. 6.25"x8.75". Ex-Library.
