Some offsetting from plates to nearby leaves; scattered foxing. Collation: *4, **4, A-Z4, Aa-Zz4, Aaa4-Zzz4, Aaaa-Zzzz4, Aaaaa-Zzzzz4, Aaaaaa-Gggggg4 [where Gggggg4 is blank]. Ggggg1 is signed “Ggggg & Hhhhh”, presumably an acknowledgement by the printer of the pagination error which causes Book One to end on p. 792 and Book Two to begin on p. 815. Originally published in 1583, a popular work on Roman life and antiquities which saw many editions. This 1743 edition was the last published.
