Tan linen with a gilt-stamped spine title and the image of a printing press blind-stamped on the front board. Binder's stamp on back fixed endpaper for Schuberth Bookbindery, S.F. Printed in red and black. Illustrations and inserts are in color. Includes index. Fore-edges are untrimmed. Book Club of California publication no. 180. One of a limited edition of 750 copies. This is the second, expanded edition, which is a facsimile of the 1981 handprinted edition. Additional material includes bibliographic details and personal notes by the Allens on each of the five books they completed between 1981 and 1985, an Epilogue by Lewis and Dorothy Allen, "An Appreciation" by Carey S. Bliss, and a checklist of Allen Press ephemera compiled by D. Steven Corey. In Fine Condition: a crisp and bright copy.
