New York: Harcourt, Brace & Co., [circa 1926].. First edition. Pre-publication booklet illustrated with photographs. One of a stated 2500 copies of this prospectus. Though the publisher suggests on the cover its "preservation as a Lincoln item," it would appear not many people did. 34 pp; stapled, printed green paperwraps. Damp staining to top edge throughout, covers chipped, worn and splitting at spine. Fair to good only but complete. Scarce.
Synopsis
The story of Lincoln's life from his inauguration in 1861 to his death and funeral in 1865. Awarded the Pulitzer Prize in History, 1940.
