Phanes Press was founded in 1985 as an independent book publisher but is no longer in existence. The company acquired by Red Wheel Conari in 2004.

Comprehensive and scholarly effort by Doctor of Classical Studies from University of Southern California. Dr. Condos published several books on mythology and taught at several California universities and colleges until her death in May, 2012.
