About This Item

Westminister, Maryland, U.S.A.: Alfred a Knopf Inc, 1995. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Near Fine/Very Good+. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. In post-Cold War England, a secret servant in premature retirement confronts an unresolved rivalry with his double agent. Stated first edition. This is a very clean copy with no writing, marks, underlining, or bookplates. No remainder marks. Spine is tight and crisp. Boards are flat and true, and the corners are square. There is some very, very slight soiling to the bottom textblock edge, and the front board has some light rubbing to the bottom edge. Dust jacket is not price-clipped and shows only minor edge wear. The front cover does appear to be slightly puckered around the title, perhaps from moisture exposure. This collectible, near fine/very good +, first edition/first printing copy is protected with an archival mylar dust jacket cover. Satisfaction guaranteed!
