About This Item

New York: Coward-mcCann, 1939. First Edition. Octavo. 206 pages, the play which became the movie in 1940 where George Cukor (under the influence of his good friend Kathyrn Hepburn) has taken Barry's fine comedy writing and infused it with Hepburn, Cary Grant, Jimmy Steward and a great cast to keep audiences laughing even today as they did nearly 85 years ago. The play was revived in 1980 and copies with nice dust jackets are uncommon. Bound in original blue cloth lettered and decorated in white, spine lettering white, light wear to spine ends, in a good unclipped pictorial dust jacket with edge wear, chipping, and creases, with a few old clear tape mends.
