About This Item
New York: Alfred A. Knopf, 1917. First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good. 202 pp. First American edition, second impression [actually the first American trade edition, following a privately circulated impression]. Mustard-colored paper covered boards stamped in dark blue, top edge stained dark blue. Very Good, with rubbing to corners, several small patches of wear to covers and light loss to publisher's imprint at base of spine, spine slightly faded, pages lightly thumbed, blank pages at rear roughly along fore edge and rear end sheets irregularly cut. A notoriously fragile book, found here in rather presentable condition and quite rare as such. Gallup A11d.
