Adam Clarke's Bible commentary is one of the foundational commentaries used in Methodist theology and has been regarded as a primary reference since the early 1800s. While many protestant Bible commentaries exist, few possess such an anti-Catholic tone – in the commentary on Revelation, Clarke relates the Catholic Church to the Antichrist!
This 1844 American Bible was published in New York and features Clarke's famous commentary. Note the inclusion of folding charts and maps.
