About This Item
This large atlas is Volume 1 of the eventual 13 volume set printed by the University of Nebraska Press. It includes all the maps from the Lewis & Clark expedition from St. Louis, Missouri to the mouth of the Coumbia River on the Pacific Coast and many of the return journey, including many others by earlier explorers that the expedition relied upon. Includes a preface and introduction that provides the historical context of the expedition and the short biographies of the main players along with a detailed explanation of how the maps were discovered, organized and included in the book. Due to the size of the atlas, extra shipping charges will apply, not to exceed $24. NO EXPEDITED SHIPPING ON THIS LARGE BOOK.
