Description:
London: Hodder & Stoughton, 1937. First Edition. Hard Cover. Dust Jacket. First UK Edition. Publisher's pale blue boards with black lettering. Very slight darkening to the spine and the peripheries of the boards. There are several foxing spots to the page edges and the early/late pages of the book. Overall a solid VG copy. In the VERY RARE D/W which is priced 7/6 net to the spine (as called for). The D/W has no loss but has some age-darkening to the white spine panel and along rear flap fold, and dust soiling to rear panel. Being hyper-critical there are 3 short edge tears and associated creases. A very shelvable copy of Eric Ambler's most uncommon book, his second novel. Rare. Scans invited.
