Book measures 175mm x 110mm approximately.
Beautifully bound in full rich very deep blue calf. Spine with wide gilt bands and decorative gilt blocks with maroon title label. Boards with single gilt fillet border and further decorative gilt borders and blind-tooled central panel, and gilt inner dentelle work. Series of classical engravings throughout. All page edges in gilt.
CONDITION
Holding firm and strong. Boards and spine retain a nice rich lustre with just occasional minor surface scratches and a few small marks, with some very minor bumping to corners, nothing more.
Internally the pages are generally clean, although with random small patches of foxing and spots to just a few random spots to most pages. A few pages, A3, vi, 44, 115 have darker marks or patches. Bookseller plate of Foyle of London… Read More
