The National Security Women's Corps was a volunteer civilian organization founded in 1940 in New York. Their mission was to train female personnel to respond to emergency situations and to serve in auxiliary roles in the war effort. A large number of its members went on to serve as part of the WAVES, WAACS and similar groups. Quite uncommon, this publication is not found in OCLC.

Ms. Williams was a naturalist & long-time commentator on National Public Radio. While numerous intriguing recipes are included, the author also "helps to enlighten the rest of the world on the Montana environment and a lifestyle that can be found" [there].
In 1986 at age 63, Karen Williams succumbed to cancer after declining chemotherapy.

Yoshimura (1921 - 1997) was a distinguished bonsai master largely credited with introducing traditional Japanese techniques and aesthetics to Western bonsai enthusiasts.
