This copy has been neatly resewn and recased in the now-rebacked original white cloth which is lettered and decorated in gilt. The hinge portions of the endpapers are neatly replaced with narrow strips of white binder's cloth. 31 cm. Most of the original backstrip, unevenly browned with gilt lettering dulled, has been mounted on the new backstrip. This copy of the book benefits aesthetically from having its darkened backstrip mounted on tan cloth. Corner bumped on front cover. The hinge portions of the unevenly browned endpapers have been neatly replaced with narrow strips of white cloth. 29 cm. Internally otherwise almost as new. No slipcase. Copy No. 334 of an edition of 750 copies, NUMBERED and SIGNED by Detmold.

The tissue guards are browned, a few are missing and a few others are wrinkled or partially gone. Copy No. 20 of an edition limited to 500 numbered copies signed by Grigoriev. The family was living comfortably in Prince George's County, Maryland. The last paragraph identifies 4 photos which were available from USIS to accompany this feel-good article.
