Condition good plus, corners, hinges and spine ends rubbed, covers and spine a bit age darkened, spine a little sunned dark too, offsetting and light spotting to end-papers, few faint spots to margins of pages. The plates are nice and clean with no foxing as they have been printed on to glossy paper. Beautifully illustrated by M. V. Wheelhouse with colour frontispiece and five further colour plates and vignette illustrations at the start and end of each chapter.
