Capturing glimpses of death metal and black metal in their infancy, this issue features interviews with Morbid Angel, Terrorizer, and Nuclear Death, among others; numerous demo and album reviews, including Napalm Death's Scum and Mayhem's Deathcrush; and advertisements for other zines. Photomechnically reproduced on both sides of 17" x 11" sheets of white paper that are folded in half and stapled. Text in English, with an introductory note in French. Dame Margot Fonteyn (1919-91) is regarded as one of the greatest classical ballet dancers of all time. In this work, she offers advice to all children about to embark on the study of dance, and to all parents hoping to guide them. Laid in is a typed letter signed (TLS) from Fonteyn on Royal Opera House letterhead. In the letter, which was written at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre in Vancouver on July 29, 1967, she confirms her involvement in Gerhard's "Don Quixote" ballet, as well as the Paris production of "Eloge de la Folie" by Roland Petit's Company. Faint stain to the fore-edge, with a minor crease to the top corner of two pages. The dust jacket is very lightly rubbed, with a mild crease to the front flap; otherwise a very good copy. A collection of 180 flyers, business cards, and handbills promoting Southern California glam and heavy metal bands from the mid-1980s to the early-1990s, featuring acts such as Funhouse, Nuclear Valdez, L.A. Guns, New Haven, The Cherry Bombz, Hanoi Rocks, The Lords of the New Church, and Warbride. The flyers are all printed sheets in sizes ranging between 3" x 3 1/2" and 16 1/2" x 11" in various colors with several incorporating rubberstamped elements. The material is mostly near fine, some with small chips and tears from being mounted on bulletin boards and posts. The flyers are printed with pictures of the glam and heavy metal bands in various poses wearing tight pants and open shirts, with the signature big hair and makeup favored at the time.
