About This Item

New York: Random House, 1934. First Edition. Hardcover. Very good/Very good. Signed by William Saroyan on the front flyleaf. The author's first book, a collection of 26 short stories that established Saroyan (1908-81) as one of the most popular writers of the era. Octavo. Original cloth binding, with a gold foil wraparound band and black stamping. Light fading along the extremities of the boards. The dust jacket is moderately browned, more so along the spine and folds, with a small spot to the front panel and a bit of mild edgewear; otherwise very good.
