Description:
First edition. A very early Fitzgerald work, his first writing for a production at the Princeton University Triangle Club. A very good to near fine example. The boards bright and crisp with only slight shelf and handling wear. A tiny crack at the bottom of the rear board. A tear to the front hinge, but still a square and solidly intact volume. The copyright notice hand corrected on page 5, as it was with most copies. The contents fine, appearing mostly unread. Laid in is an annotated newspaper clipping advertising the Triangle Club's "Christmas Trip" tour of six cities to perform the show. A beautiful and unrestored example of this scarce title. Though he was socially and intellectually ambitious at Princeton, Fitzgerald was a largely indifferent student from the start. He joined the Triangle Club after he was cut from the football team his freshman year. Fitzgerald would write the lyrics for three shows at the club, but was not allowed to performed in any of them as his poor grades prohibited him… Read More

Description:
First edition. Fitzgerald's second work for the Princeton University Triangle Club. A bit of foxing and creasing to the boards. Two little traces of damp stain at the bottom of to the front board. The rear hinge split but the contents firmly intact, nice and crisp internally. Overall a very good, unrestored example of this scarce title. Though he was socially and intellectually ambitious at Princeton, Fitzgerald was a largely indifferent student from the start. He joined the Triangle Club after he was cut from the football team his freshman year. Fitzgerald would write the lyrics for three shows at the club, but was not allowed to performed in any of them as his poor grades prohibited him from partaking in extracurricular activities. He did not graduate with the class of 17, and instead left Princeton to join the army and finish writing This Side of Paradise.

Description:
First edition. First issue, with the points present: The Cat in the Hat on the back board, 13 books listed on the final textual page, 14 titles (up to now) on the rear flap of the dust jacket, and 250/250 unclipped on the front flap. A near fine copy, the boards slightly edge worn. A Christmas inscription (only in pencil) on the first free endpaper, but the contents flawless throughout. The jacket very good with some creasing and edge wear, and half inch closed tears at the head and foot of the spine. Still, an uncommonly crisp example overall of Dr. Seuss s timeless Christmas story, which would define the holiday spirit for generations of young readers.

Description:
First edition. A fine copy. The dust jacket all but fine, only with minor creasing, a slight trace of abrasion at the rear flap, and unessential tape reinforcement along the edges of the verso. An outstanding copy overall, presented in custom velvet-lined clamshell box from Asprey. One of Steinbeck s most ambitious works, in which he experimented with writing a play in the format of a novel.

Description:
New York: Robert O. Ballou, 1933
First edition. First printing. An all but fine copy, with some sunning to the cloth along the spine. A small booksellers ticket to the rear pastedown, but the contents flawless. pp. 8-9 slightly attached from the publisher's glue at the hinge - a defect inherent at printing. In a near fine dust jacket. The jacket spine with toned lettering, and a tiny nick at the base. Some foxing to the rear panel and and the verso. Bright and vivid still, and wholly unrestored. A beautiful example of Steinbeck's third novel, his most challenging and time consuming to complete. It explores faith, and the relationship between man and his land, themes that Steinbeck would build upon in later works. Quite scarce, with only 598 copies initially bound for sale, and few surviving in such beautiful condition.
