About This Item
First edition. First issue, with the points present: The Cat in the Hat on the back board, 13 books listed on the final textual page, 14 titles (up to now) on the rear flap of the dust jacket, and 250/250 unclipped on the front flap. A near fine copy, the boards slightly edge worn. A Christmas inscription (only in pencil) on the first free endpaper, but the contents flawless throughout. The jacket very good with some creasing and edge wear, and half inch closed tears at the head and foot of the spine. Still, an uncommonly crisp example overall of Dr. Seuss s timeless Christmas story, which would define the holiday spirit for generations of young readers.
