One of 100 copies privately published "as a personal expression" and printed by Will Carter in Cambridge, England, at the Rampant Lions Press, February 1953. "The prayers collected and recorded here were written in France and England during the last three years of the war in Europe. With 20 unnumbered pages.

Boston: Rufus Leighton, Jr., 1859 Original blindstamped green pebbled cloth; gilt cover decoration and title. The author, minister of the 28th Congregational Society of Boston, sets forth the traditional religious story of the first Christmas, followed by a second story set "in the little town of Soitgoes, in Worcester County, Mass.," with numerous pronouncements and preachments throughout. The second story carries an anti-slavery message. Moderate rubbing to cover extremities. Spine faintly sunned. Diagonal 2" closed tear at upper front endpaper near hinge. Prior owner signature on second blank front endpaper. Occasional faint soil to text margins. Otherwise clean and tight.
